Interviewer: Hello and welcome to FC Interviews, a popular news site where we get insights of fictional characters in literature. This week; the characters from This Is Why!

Elizabeth: Hello! We're so excited to be here!

Interviewer: I'm sure you are, Emma.

Elizabeth: It's Elizabeth.

Interviewer: Right. So, today we'll be doing something a little different. We have actually gathered our questions from actual readers of This Is Why! Is that okay with you guys?

Marvin: Of course, we fully support audience participation.

Interviewer: Fabulous. Now, let's get to the questions, shall we? First one: "Does Noah paint other genres other than abstract?"

Noah: I have in the past. When first experimenting with paints, I've dabbled in scenery and portraits and whatnot. I even remember painting a picture of Jason about 2 years ago, when I got my first canvas. But I really prefer abstract. I use art as a creative outlet, and painting abstract is easier for me to communicate my emotions.

Melody: Ever used the dot method of drawing? You basically jab a piece of paper until art happens, and I really think that would relieve some serious anger if you're ever pissed.

Noah: I'll stick to abstract.

Interviewer: Interesting, very interesting. Next question, for Melody, "why would you ever do weed?"

Melody: Look, life is short. There's only so much you can do in such a short amount of time. I do it for the experience, for a story. So when I'm in a nursing home, I'll be the coolest old person there!

Marvin: What if you died young?

Melody: Don't be ridiculous, Marvin. I'll be immortal. Always grow old but never die.

Interviewer: Next question: "If you had to vote someone out of the friend group, who would it be?"

Elizabeth: Oh...

Noah: Uh...

Marvin: Jeez, that's uh-

Melody: Marvin.

Marvin: WOW OKAY LOVE YOU TOO MEL!

Melody: It's only because you annoy me the most. Don't take things so personally.

Marvin: HOW AM I NOT SUPPOSE TO TAKE THAT PERSONALLY?!

Noah: Wow...That was pretty brutal, Melody.

Melody: -shrugs- what can I say? I'm a brutally honest person.

Interviewer: Alright, let's get to the next question before the tension is too strained to bear. How many flower crowns does Elizabeth own?

Elizabeth: I lost track at around 20.

Melody: In all honesty, Liz leaves her flower crowns everywhere. I wish I was kidding. There's about 7 different bows and flower crowns hidden away in my room from sleepovers alone.

Noah: Hair pins, headbands, and flower crowns is all she's made up of.

Marvin: I swear to God, it's like she sheds hair accessories.

Elizabeth: Okay I get it! Jeez...I'll make more of a conscious effort to minimize on the flower crowns.

Melody: No, no! It's apart of you, Liz, don't change. We're bullies, don't listen to us.

Interviewer: Next question: Can I punch your father in the throat, Marvin?

Marvin: Well...that's very sweet of you to offer that but um...you know, he's also my father. The one who raised me and taught me almost everything that I know. My mother has even said that I get my talent on the piano from him...she said that when I would cry as a baby, my father would play a lullaby on the piano to calm me down. I know that he's harsh, and that he says things that can really tear a child down but...he's still my dad. And I still respect him. Thank you.

Interviewer: Anyone have anything else to add to that...?

Melody: No comment.

Noah: Nope.

Elizabeth: I personally feel like that was the best way to respond to that question, Marvin.

Marvin: Thanks.

Interviewer: Okay, next question. Does Elizabeth like her hair short? Or is she growing it out?

Elizabeth: Here's the thing; I have relatively thick hair, and it's a bitch to handle-

Marvin: Did you just swear?

Elizabeth: -and so I like to keep it short. A lot less stress in the morning. However, I'm not one to be consistent when it comes to haircuts, so I'll probably be growing it out to a bob or something.

Interviewer: Next question; What's up with Jason, I want to know his backstory.

Marvin: I think Noah should answer this question...

Noah: ...He was someone who needed help and comfort. His family life, it wasn't great. His parents couldn't accept him and, as a result, he couldn't accept himself.

Interviewer: Would you like elaborate on that?

Noah: Um...no. Honestly, I feel like Jason's personal story should be kept as just that. Personal. Perhaps one day his full story will be told. But not today.

Interviewer: Ah, yes, of course. Now it is time for the last question: What will I be expecting from your guys' next book?

Elizabeth: Expect awkward teenagers in love.

Melody: And Rachel. Don't think she's done with us just yet.

Noah: Two words; talent show.

Marvin: New names. Expect new names and faces.

Interviewer: Lovely! Well, that seems to be all the time we have for today, thank you all so much for joining us! Hopefully next year we can set up another interview for your guys' second book!

Everyone: Bye!
