We Are The Ants
Of course, this book is my favorite stand-alone book of all time. It has seriously changed my views of the universe and life as a whole. It pklays with the idea of why we are really here, and whether any of it matters. The writing, characters, and emotions that this book emits is just straight up brilliant, and I very much suggest this book for anyone who wants to be challenged.

This Is Where It Ends
TIWIE is a dark-themed book that deals with a very serious topic: school shootings. It's super short, but super impactful. Highly-recommend for high school students.

I Hunt Killers
Yes, I know this is technically a trilogy, but I personally don't like the squeals, so I'm counting it as a stand-alone. This book is also very dark-themed and gory, and it's my favorite mystery book so far!

The Girl On The Train
Again, another one of my favorite mysteries!

Holding Up The Universe
This book is a cute love story about a boy who has a disorder that takes away his ability to recognize faces and a girl who's recovering from an eating disorder. It's cute, fluffy, and it certainly leaves you with your heart 3 sizes bigger! <3
